Death of Phil Wray - a personal tribute

Apologies for this post - I can still post here, even though I would not do so now in other than exceptional circumstances, which these are.

Please see Paul Evans' previous post about the death of Phil Wray - I'm devastated to hear of this. He was such an important person in cycling, especially the history of cycling, cycles and through the V-CC. He was someone who contributed a lot - someone that I would feel privileged to call a friend, even if of late I have not been able to get to Folding Society Rides.

I have happy memories of taking part in many rides with him and Lorna. We are all much the poorer for his death, and condolences to the family.

We are distressed to learn of the death of Phil Wray. Phil was a staunch supporter of the Origami rides, as well as being a tireless worker for the Veteran-Cycle Club. He will be much missed.
